How long does it take to learn to drive?

According to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), it takes most people 45 hours of lessons to learn how to drive, plus 22 hours of practice with a friend or relative. However, some people can pass much sooner!

In what car will I sit my test?

Usually, it will be the car in which you learn

(currently this Peugeot 208 GT). It can be your own car if you wish. It must have "L" Plates and an additional interior mirror for the examiner.

Can my instructor come with me on my test?

Yes! Your instructor will be happy to sit in the back during your test.

How long does the practical driving test last?

Your driving test will last around forty minutes.
